The California Legislature's passing of S.B. 616, will expand the State's existing paid sick leave mandate from three
days(24 hours), to five days(40 hours). The amendment also raises the paid sick leave accrual cap from 48 to 80 hours.
These changes will take effect 1/1/2024.
