Did you know? The governor of New York amended New York Paid Family leave to include sibling as an eligible relationship for benefits. This will go into effect January 1st, 2022.

Changes to New York Paid Family Leave

Other states have been changing their programs as well. Connecticut now funds paid family leave through employee contributions. Oregon also narrowed the reasons OFLA covers after Paid Leave Oregon began.
